Scared of the Ocean hail from Milton Keynes, a town with not a whole lot going on 99% of the time. Thallasaphobia, our debut record, is an album that will hopefully fill a space in your head that has been empty for quite a while — the sound is simple, heavy, dark, melodic punk rock. If you like it, please come along to a show and say hello. We don’t bite, although the drummer might force you to touch his iPad (and then charge you for it).
We hope you enjoy the album, we had a blast making it and are immensely proud of the outcome. We hope it melts your face just a tiny little bit when you listen.

The Band
Scared of the Ocean was born in 2009, although we have been creating music in various guises and line-ups for around 10 years. We are inspired by a list of bands too long to mention here, and a list of experiences we couldn‘t make up if we tried.
